iPhone only. Requires iOS 27 or later. Free to download; in-app purchases to export.

Which phones does RoutineCut work on?

RoutineCut is iPhone only and requires iOS 27.0 or later. It is not available for iPad, Mac, or Android at the moment.

How much does RoutineCut cost?

RoutineCut is free to download. Importing, analyzing, editing, and full-length preview are free. You pay only to export the file: Single Export $6.99, 5-Pack $19.99, or Season Pass $39.99 (an auto-renewing subscription). These are the prices shown on the App Store page on Sep 30, 2026; the App Store is the source of truth.

Does RoutineCut make sure my music meets the rules for my meet?

No. RoutineCut never claims that a cut is compliant or approved. Time limits apply to the routine, not to the audio file, and rules change. The in-app references are sourced and dated in Settings, but always verify the current requirements with your governing body or event.

Does RoutineCut provide music or license music?

No. RoutineCut does not sell, license, or provide music. Use audio you own or have rights to edit. RoutineCut does not give legal or licensing advice.

What does RoutineCut do?

You import a song, choose a target length (reference limits for USA Gymnastics Development Program and Xcel levels, or a custom length from 20 seconds to 6 minutes), and RoutineCut offers three cuts: Best Ending, Max Energy, and Safe Flow. You can fine-tune in a phrase-snapped waveform editor, choose a cold end, fade, or stinger, check loudness and a mono-speaker preview, then export M4A or WAV.

What are Best Ending, Max Energy, and Safe Flow?

Best Ending lands the final pose on a strong beat. Max Energy keeps the climax untouched. Safe Flow uses the fewest, cleanest joins. You can preview all three for free and adjust the one you choose.

What do I pay for?

Only the exported file. Everything before export, including a full-length preview, is free.

Does RoutineCut upload my music or need an account?

No. It runs on-device with no account, uploads, tracking, or ads. The App Store page lists Data Not Collected.

What file types can I import?

M4A, MP3, WAV, AIFF, and FLAC files, mono or stereo, up to 20 minutes, from Files or the share sheet. You can also pick songs from your music library; those songs must be downloaded to your iPhone. Copy-protected files, such as Apple Music streaming tracks and DRM files, are refused. Export is M4A or WAV.

Why does it need iOS 27?

RoutineCut's analysis uses Apple's Music Understanding framework, which is only available in iOS 27 and later.

Will there be an Android version?

Not at the moment. RoutineCut is iPhone only.

Can I export for free?

No. Exporting requires a purchase. Previewing is free, so you can hear the cut before you buy.

What is the Season Pass?

An auto-renewing subscription. Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation and renews unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Manage or cancel in Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions.
